Dr. Hoover grew up in a military family and spent a significant portion of her childhood split between Gig Harbor, Washington and Germany. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University. Her initial exposure to the veterinary profession began at Harbor Animal Hospital during her high school years—an experience that solidified her commitment to a career in veterinary medicine. She is honored to return to the community and contribute to the health and well-being of its pets and their families. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, nutrition, surgery, and developing meaningful relationships with her clients and their pets.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Hoover enjoys spending time with her dogs, including participating in carting events with her Bernese Mountain Dog. She also enjoys hiking, reading, and engaging in various crafting activities.
