DR. ANN VALENTI

Dr. Valenti was born in Northern California but raised in Maryland until she moved to Minnesota to attend undergraduate college in animal science.  She graduated from University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993 where she studied equine and small animal medicine, surgery and reproduction. She joined and then co-owned/managed a large multi doctor small animal practice in Minnesota before heading to the PNW for warmer weather! She joined Harbor Animal Hospital recently after doing emergency and relief work throughout the Gig Harbor area because she was quite impressed with the quality of the services provided there.

Dr. Valenti enjoys all aspects of veterinary care and loves bonding with the pets and their owners. She taught puppy class for over 20 years and mentored over 200 students all the way from high school to veterinary school level. She especially enjoys reproduction, surgery, wellness and dentistry.

Dr. Valenti has also volunteered on international mission trips to care for owned animals that needed preventive care and spay/neuter procedures, combining her love of travel, community outreach and veterinary medicine.

Dr. Valenti is married to her wonderful husband , and has had a menagerie of all kinds of animals but currently has just 2 dogs so she can continue her mission work and travel - a Standard Party Poodle named Coupe de Ville and a senior Husky named Sydney Louise. She is part

of the World Vets marine mammal response team here in Gig Harbor and has also helped with animal rescue for pets affected by the fires in Washington state.

Dr. Valenti is a private pilot, avid horse enthusiast and is embracing all of the fun things that the PNW has to offer, especially the warmer weather!
